Kingston A400 240GB 2.5" SATA3 Internal SSD

Tried this SSD on 2x desktops, admittedly both slightly older: a 5+ year old HP (Win 7 pro) and 3+ Lenovo (Win 10 pro). Freezes intermittantly for 10 seconds or so on both machines and then continues. This happens fairly frequently. Replaced with a Samsung EVO which worked no problems on both. Don't believe the Tech Reviews, these have been revised and nothing like the original product. I was disappointed with performance from the start so I tried some benchmarking.
Userbenchmark doesn't believe how slow it is, suggests that I check ports and cables (that didn't help).
Crystal Disk Mark shows it about 3X HDD in all different modes.
It is an improvement on the old Adata drive I was using, slightly. Hoping it won't do the sudden failure thing like the Adata I had before.

Cheap, I mean it is one of the cheapest SSD that I have ever seen but it does it job. However, being the cheapest model, migrating data from the existing HDD or SSD can be a real pain because they don't come with a migration tool. Bought three over the last 18 months, to replace the HDD system drives on old HP desktops.. This SSD is a perfect upgrade for that and makes operating the pc much zippier.. Recommend. I bought it to replace the Hard Drive on an old toshiba satellite laptop (2015 approx) and the startup speed and overall speed and performance has rocketed. Two weeks since installed. Working perfectly fine as advertised, would recommend. Use one of these to upgrade an office desktop from HDD to SSD. Cloned the HDD which was a 250GB drive. Image loaded system rolled over was all very easy. Does not come with any migration software like Adata drives do, so if your planning to do the same, you will need a migration tool. In an ideal world you will be installing fresh so this shouldn't be an issue.
Drive performs well and I have noted no issues so far. The Kingston SSD tool is mostly pointless and a waste of system resources. it is however good for updating the firmware.
