I bought this on sale for ps5 the read speed I got was somewhere around the 5546mb/s rather than 7000. After doing a bit of research it looks like it’s normal for this ssd until you update the firmware - not great if you have no way of doing this and this is not noted on pbtech website. Only reason why it’s not 5 stars is because of this issue.
Still works great though and I’m able to play games directly from ssd with no noticeable difference to performance so far.

I bought this with my pc just over a month ago and this stores all my games, files, etc and loads them instantly. The good: It's blisteringly fast and 2TB is surely enough even for power-users (at time of writing). I/O speed is like nothing I've seen before, which feels like a full PC upgrade when it comes to any load-screen. Check your motherboard specs carefully to make sure you can make full use of its frankly outrageous throughput. Absolute top marks on performance.

Luckily there's very little thermal mass, so the 100-degree heat is unlikely to spread, but if you're often throttled by GPU thermal limits and your NVME drive sits underneath it, consider alternatives. Neutral effect on star-rating.

The ugly:
SSDs are bad for the environment. That's sad because they're so amazing and efficient! But they're kind of a fact of life for a high performance PC in 2022. Most motherboards only have one high-speed slot for an NVME drive, so you really want to avoid a situation where you upgrade it frequently (and lose access / speed of access to the old storage - ouch). To keep the working life as long as possible, I'd recommend investing in this component of a PC build. At time of writing, this is basically the top of the line, which is what drove my purchase, along with previous good experiences with Samsung NVME drives. I'm penalising 1 star in the rating because the environmental footprint of the manufacturing process could really be improved, and hopefully will with time.
