Samsung 990 Pro With Heatsink 4TB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD

I recently upgraded my system with the Samsung 990 Pro 1TB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations in every aspect.! I recently upgraded my system with the Samsung 990 Pro 1TB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations in every aspect.!

Bought this a month ago to expand the storage on my PS5. It was a breeze to install (no tools required other than a Phillips screwdriver), and the PS5 recognised it and formatted it straight away.

It took a couple of days to load my entire games library (~45 disc- and download-based games) to the new drive, after which I was happy to discover this had only used up half of the space on it!

Iʻm super-happy with the drive – it’s a literal game-changer to have all the titles available to play without having to juggle storage any more. This is actually my son's purchase for his pc. His ssd was very small & his hdd was quite slow & he needed more space & with newer games they need an ssd to play. I was lucky to get this 4tb as it appeared when I was going to get the 2tb so really happy I have waited. Did the research & this was the best option out even tho I did it on the 2tb but got a 4tb which is excellent for what he needed. His games load so much faster & he has so much space & he's really very happy with it. The only downside on research on the samsung was on the price. If thats all for me it's worth it. I think it has some sort of heatsink as well which is great.

Not as fast as i was expecting when coming from any other old M2 drive. Windows11 boot up and my games still load at about the same amount of time as before. just get the 970 or 980 if you want to save a little bit of money. runs a little bit hot. so if you want to save some power watts and reduce some heat, maybe a slower m2 drive is better. also i had problems booting the m2 after installing windows11, but this was just a legacy uefi setting and another default drive choose setting hidden down bottom in my msi bios menu. not the ssd m2 fault, just something you have to deal with. after 20minutes of playing in bios i got it to boot. I had to pull my computer apart to get this installed so was a good chance to get all the dust that had built up over the years.
Easy to install - take pictures of all the cables so you know how to put them back.
Drive did not show up untill I dug into the system and assigned a drive letter to the drive.
Do a search on Disk Management if you need to learn about this.
It has been a great addition to my computer, I now have 913Gigs of storage I had to pull my computer apart to get this installed so was a good chance to get all the dust that had built up over the years.
