I would purchase again, although I have found that when I wish to remove it from my computer, it won't let me. I have to shut down the computer before it can be removed. Works as advertised - it's a 4 TB external HDD that I use to backup critical files on my NAS.
Reads and write quickly.
Cable is a bit short.
Device was discounted at the time, so relatively cheap ($/TB).

Another Western Digital portable drive,over the years I have had many drives fron Wd ,all have been trouble free and perform well.

My old Seagate external drive died so I was after a replacement. This unit is a lot more compact and doesn't need an external power supply like the old one did. Good storage for photo backups easy plug and transfer. Lots of room. Saves you from monthly online/backup storage fees buy two of these and keep one at another location.
