This is a great scooter from Segway, I’ve had it for nearly 3 years now and very impressed; no creaking or wobbles. High range is amazing (less worried about charge/charging) and feels very safe and sturdy to ride. Would definitely recommend comparing different scooter and doing research to find out what scooter best suits your lifestyle.

G30 Max is best for plain and straight roads whether you're a bit heavy or not. It would have been better if the handle bars are a bit longer. But overall, great product, highly recommended. This is arguably the perfect commuter scooter. However, regardless of the excellent design and build, I wish I had purchased something a little faster. Once you have purchased and set up the app via bluetooth, you should be able to deactivate the speed restriction to achieve 32kmph. However the fastest speed on the flat is only 25kmph. Now that I am confident and aware of how the scooter behaves I wish I had a cruising speed of 35kmph. So, I would recommend test riding before buying. The range is excellent and the scooter is great in every other respect. This is arguably the perfect commuter scooter. The main things I was looking for were ability to go up moderate inclines and rain resistance, at the time of writing I have had the scooter for a little under a year. I've had no issues with inclines and have even got decent speeds going up them, though this did require me to be in the highest mode available (sports). I've also had no issues with rain or wet weather, you do need sports mode to get a good speed if you are going against a headwind. Battery has been very good, 20 - 30 mins in sports mode might get you down to 80% at worst and in drive or eco modes (Which have a lower max speed) your more looking at 90% - 95%. The folding down process is pretty simple and it works well, bear in mind this is a significant scooter though so it is still large and very heavy. Brakes are fine but not outstanding. I've had no issues with the display screen, which is well sized, or the back or front lights though they are not outstandingly bright. Decent but not standout turning circle. I don't usually use the (mechanical) bell but when I have its a good volume. Came with a moderate length charging cable, I wouldn't call it short but I have had times I wished it was longer.

The only significant difficulty I've had with this scooter was in registering on its official app which it requires to go above 15km/h and use some other features - in other words to make it usable. The official app refused to connect for me but there is also a 3rd party app which I used instead of bothering to call up about it, after which it worked fine. Honestly it was probably user error on my part and I just missed something, but I thought I may as well include it.

Overall very happy with this purchase. Given the price you might also want to consider a U-lock or similar, a spare wheel just in case, as well as a helmet.

Be sure to inflate tyres to about 40psi when you purchase is or you'll be in for a bumpy ride when getting onto sidewalks.

Real easy to use average speed 18km/ph on Drive. Even fully charged I don't get max 23 km/ph on Sport mode on flat. I weight 75kgs.

Doing anything muddy or bumpy, I'd reccomended going more for a scooter built for that.

I paid a bit more to get this scooter because of the 65km range. It is more than enough for everyday use so I don't have to worry about the battery level which I think it is really worth the money.
The suspension is minimal, but I still can get through rough area or small pothole etc. I am using it to get from A to B, so comfortable is not an priority for me.

Sadly my scooter got stolen after 2 weeks. I had it locked and parked at a high foot traffic area, but it was gone within 5 mins after I grab one item from a supermarket. So I recommend you take the scooter with you everyway you go. I paid a bit more to get this scooter because of the 65km range. It is more than enough for everyday use so I don't have to worry about the battery level which I think it is really worth the money.

- Well priced during sales so grab them when you get the chance after considering the following cons.

Cons:
- Front brakes so always be cautious with your weight distribution as Auckland is quite hilly as we all know...
- Still limited to 25KmH so you know, its fast but not incredibly fast comparatively (imagine having speed as a pro and a con...)
- No suspension in this model so you are feeling every little bump on the way.
- Air tires are good at eliminating a small number of bumps, but a pain to change should they deflate. No spare is provided.

Notes:
- Locking it up for trips. I use mine primary when I can bring it with me for the entire time or when I can store it in an exclusive area i.e break room at work. Scooter thieves are getting bolder and bolder so get a good U-Lock and 1 to 2 more solid cord locks to add a bit more intimidation and protection to it.
Remember locking it up in an area too secluded gives a thief a long time to themselves when working on the lock and locking it up somewhere too public advertises the scooter for theft especially if it is there on a regular basis.

8.5/10 Just because you can get real familiar with getting around at max speeds and it is a happy middle ground for performance and price.
