Segway F2 Electric Scooter - Standard Max Speed 25Km/h ( 30km/h Overclocked)

I purchased this scooter for my wife to complete our family ownership of electric scooters, so we and our 3 kids all have electric scooters to go around town in.

This F2 scooter is a smooth ride with nice tyres that hide impact and rough road quite well. It still has it's limits with no suspension, but it does pretty well for what you've paid.
Range isn't too bad and our first family ride was a 16km trip around town and the bike paths here. By the time we got back home (after what seemed like quite a ride) the battery life was still a little over half even though we had max'd out most of the trip.

HIll climbing wasn't an issue, but our town is relatively flat and inclines were gentle but handled well by the scooter.
Don't expect earth breaking acceleration. It's much more of a commuter type scooter than anything resembling a performance ride. It's my wife's first scooter, so it was a solid option for her (My kids have much faster accelerating and top speed Ninebots and Apollos, and I have a dual motor 60v Apollo Phantom)
Also max payload is very reasonable given the price point. Many scooters in this price range are around the 25-30km/h speed, 30-40km range but are only limited to 100kg. This one is at least able to handle a full grown adult and big teenagers and get them around.
Indicators are a bonus. They're highly visible on the ends of the handlebars. A welcomed addition that some of our others scooters actually don't have.

Minuses: Top speed has to be overlocked (hacked) and top end speed (30km/h) is generated by 'hacking' the scooter and providing more power to the motor. Unfortunately (perhaps this is just this particular scooter) there are the occasional split-second losses of power at max speed. Not often, but enough to notice. It's imperceptible to the eye, but the rider feels a tiny, miniscule microsecond jolt at 30km/h. No doubt because this is not the engineered top speed as it is supposed to be limited at 25km/h.
The braking system is adequate. Nothing fantastic with a single brake front disc and regenerative rear electric brake. You're definitely not stopping on a dime, but with smart riding and accelerating on clear straights, you can avoid needing to brake in a hurry.

Overall, happy with the balance between features and drawbacks, especially given the price. It's a great first scooter or for teenagers/adults who just want to get from A to B and don't mind an easy paced ride.

Being 2 Months now owned my Segway Ninebot F2 Scooter. I'm very satisfied with the performance of the scooter. Never let me down even on incliner road.
Very handy and light weight product easy carry in public transport. I love the direction indication and traction control function.

I had an older F40 Segway scooter and took the opportunity of the Xmas sales to upgrade. This scooter has wider handlebars making it a bit more stable and indicators which, whilst a little fiddly to get used to at first, can be quite helpful - especially with pedestrians.
It drives smoothly and so far no issues. There were instructions on the PB Tech page about overclocking the scooter and I could not get those to work. I did however find youtube video about an app called XiaoDash and that works easy and unlocked the 30kph top speed (use the App at your own risk!!!).

The scooter folds firmly but the mechanism is not quite as simple as the previous scooter (minor inconvenience at worst) and and everything seems to be bolted together well. The app also has a few new features with battery management, start speed, tamper detection, and Apple "Find my device" which are all welcome upgrades.
I use this scooter to commute about 6km everyday and its a great way to park for free and beat city traffic. The scooter folds and fits sideways in the boot of my car (Volvo XC60) so doesn't take up much room.

I've been lucky to have had access to a number of Segway devices, but this is the first time I have tried one of their scooters and my biggest regret is waiting this long to dive in and give one a go. I have been missing out!

Out of the box, the scooter is easy to assemble in just minutes - attach a small plug, insert the handlebars, tighten four small screws with the supplied Allen key wrench, and that's it. No IKEA-inspired mindmaze of assembly instructions, just 2 minutes to assemble, a couple of hours to charge, and you can begin to ride. The highlights include a simple onboard interface, the ability to secure and unlock the scooter's "anti-theft alarm" without needing to reach for your phone, the immediate comfort you will feel riding it, and the short learning-curve for even the most advanced options. Anyone who really wants an easy but enjoyable eScooter would do well to consider this, or one of its kin since these are selling fast for good reason.

However, Pothing's Nerfect... this is not going to be 'The One' for everyone. There is no suspension on this model, so even small bumps or rough roading will send your teeth into a shudder. Riding with your knees slightly bent, to absorb some of the vibrations, will prove to be a smart trick to give your head a smoother ride, if not your ankles. There is also the matter of 'overclocking', which is not possible via the method shown above. Not only has the bluetooth 'hacker' app changed and no longer offers you the ability to rewrite the settings, but the firmware appears to actively block any attempt to disable the speed moderator. There are other options, more permanent and risky, but the idea of whipping out wirecutters to get an extra 5kph seems the highest folly. If you are seeking speed, buy a racer not a scooter.

As an environmentally-friendlier way to make short trips - to the dairy, to visit a mate, or just to get a small can of gas because the car has run dry, this is an excellent option at a very reasonable price-point. This will be a total sea-change for me, as I enjoy travel but don't always want to take the car down the road from whatever hotel I am staying at. With this in the boot, my travel options have opened right up and my costs will fall drastically... and it only gets better the higher the petrol prices climb. You'll find this will pay for itself in no time, in savings, in ease, and in fun! When you get a smooth patch of roadway, and the wind is at your back, it kinda feels like flying.

A decent escooter that has become my daily commuter, I really cant fault it. There is a bit of an effort involved to get the max speed out of it but if you seek you will find.
