As an entry price steam mop, this blew its Kmart ANKO competitor out of the water. Immediately clear that this Shark product is more sturdy and has less parts (non-swivel mop head) and therefore less to break overtime. The clean was also superior, with the floors being left steamed but not wet.

I had been cleaning my floors with a vacuum followed by mopping and then sometimes on hands and knees with a cloth. For over 10 years!! The floors were still sticky underfoot due to the residue of what ever cleaning product was currently in the cupboard. The previous owners (I constantly question their logic!) had laid lino/vinyl flooring with patterned design crevices the size of the Grand Canyon. No matter how much you cleaned and mopped the crevices were still unsightly.

It's so lightweight I questioned whether it had the guts to pull of a David Copperfield. It has. It doesn't produce steam like others you see out on the market (and may be a good thing!), it cleans amazingly and doesn't leave the Mississippi River behind it. It's dry straightway and not sticky. Every woman's' dream! True to it's word, it takes a mere 30 seconds to powerup and the job was done at a jiffy. The attached grip pads go on and come off faster than any man I know. And by heck they were filthy. I almost want to mess up the kitchen just so I can go again. I said almost!

Our household recommends this pocket rocket, especially if you have an enormous amount of stupid crevices that never came clean!

Works well, definitley cleaned the floor and got out dirt & stains. Came with 2 removeable cleaning pads and used both of them to clean a 20 sq.m area. Pads are washable but may need to buy extras if doing large areas in one go. Slower than using a bucket of hot water & traditional mop but also cleans better I think. Highly recommend this steam mop. It heats up in less than 30 seconds, it’s lightweight, easy to use and it doesn’t leave your floors wet. I seen lots of people on insta using the Shark brand so that’s why I purchased this and I have no regrets. It’s on the affordable side compared to other steam mops too. This is a great mop for those who don’t want to spend a lot of money. It has a nice big mop head and the pad extends slightly from the frame, meaning it can clean right to the edges. It’s low profile means it can also get underneath things easily. The mop comes with a spare pad which is really helpful.

I sometimes feel that it doesn’t produce enough steam to get everything clean enough so need to mop over the same area more than once and it would be helpful if there was an on/off switch on the mop itself but otherwise it’s a great mop.
