Corsair HS80 Wireless RGB Gaming Headset - Carbon

This headset has been such a success for me, with Bluetooth and wired capabilities, I them for calls, video games and music and so far each factor has never failed in any way. The battery when it isn't plugged in lasts probably around 2/3 hours, which can get a little irritating to plug them back in again, but I can still use them as they charge. The audio feedback and output is outstanding. The key thing that attracted me to this headset is the quality of the audio from the microphone. I have a few teens, two of them game, and have been through 6 headsets in the last 4 years. This has been a learning experience. I have had to replace batteries, and 3 microphones.

3. Battery lasts a reasonable amount of time
4. Comfortable

The cons:
1. The strength of the wireless is low compared to others. You *must* mount the transceiver high up on the desk if you plan on walking around a bit. You will not be able to walk around the house.

I like the firmness of the material that's used as the headphone ear pieces, unlike the rubbery and fragile head pieces from other models, this one feels comfortable to wear. Although the other models had adjustable ramps to adhere to head sizes, the fasten band easily slips to your head size for a firm seating on your head. The microphone, doesn't detach, but its a simple flip up and flip down system to mute your mic which I don't mind. It does however, switch off after leaving your headset muted, which I find a bit annoying when I just want a few minutes of silence while I work and not use my mic. I owned a Bose QC 2 before buying this one and I must say this blows the QC 2 in terms of audio quality from the microphone. I was using this mostly for gaming but also used it for my work's daily stand-ups and co-workers was surprised how much better I sound after using this one.
Only concern is the lack of background noise cancellation - actually a plus for me as I can hear my wife across the room if she asks for something. At close range it was very strable with no drop-outs. The mic is as good as the online reviews claim it is. I'm not a fan of the fabric suspended headband thing as it looks cheap, doesn't feel as sturdy as a proper padded headband, but it was reasonably comfortble nonetheless. As I already have Corsair iCUE software running on my system I did not have to install anything else except the optional dolby surround suite. Not good fit for huge heads as this model has no adjustable bands, longer user may result into annoyance and head pain.
