Every review by professional reviewers raves about these headphones. Safe to say I was expecting 'out of this world' sound quality. It wasn't so. The sound quality was merely very good, in my opinion. Sure, they will eat your $10 in-ears from BP for breakfast, but they aren't a value-oriented Orpheus, so don't expect them to be.

The sound quality was merely very good, in my opinion. Sure, they will eat your $10 in-ears from BP for breakfast, but they aren't a value-oriented Orpheus, so don't expect them to be.

The frequency range has a good response with neutral EQ, but they lack in the spatial area of audio. ANC is satisfactory for the majority of users, but again, only if you get them on sale. The passive noise isolation from the ear cushions themselves is enough noise-cancelling for me, so I tend not to use the ANC. This is partly because there is a slight hiss and some muddiness when ANC is turned on, so for full price, if you're looking at ANC, just pay ~$100 more and get some Sony WH-1000XM4s. Battery life is pretty good. Good enough that you won't notice it, however, bear in mind I tend to leave ANC turned off which increases longevity. Comfort is good. The earpads may look small, but they can actually accommodate some decent-sized ears, you'd be surprised. Clamping force could be less, some people with wider heads may experience discomfort over longer periods. The main issue with comfort is the heat generated by the relatively thick pads, after an hour or so, you notice the discomfort, forcing you to take them off.

Hopefully, that clears up any questions. And to reiterate, try and buy these on sale. They aren't worth RRP.

My wife really enjoys these headphones - they are comfortable to wear and have great passive noise insulation. They look really elegant in white. The only downside is that you can notice a slight high pitched noise in the background when active noise cancellation is on. She did not notice this initially but once she did it started to irritate her. This can be amended by turning off active noise cancellation however it is on by default and she sometimes is not sure if she has turned this off or not. I got this on sale for around half price. I would not pay the full price, the noise cancelling is pretty average but it does the job. They are very tight on my big head and hurt after a few hours. The sound quality on the other hand is up to the standard of the price though. I got this on sale for around half price. - noise cancellation does nothing (the only thing you can distinguish if it's ON - white noise in background)
- controls are so small and messy that it's hard to use them
- ear pads too small and tight, that you have actually squees you head through. I guess they made it on purpose to improve passive noise cancellation, but as a result after 5 mins of use ears start sweat and you feel you head squashed
- to understand assembly quality - I found some glue drops on mines

Through the course of a years worth of ownership these headphones have definitely been one of the most problematic devices I have ever owned.

In terms of its structure its well made and still adjusts perfectly fine however the cups are just so bad. During the first month of usage they'd constantly just fall off; leading to embarrassing moments on the train while I'm sat there trying to reassemble my headphones. To solve this I tried to glue the cups to the base of the headphones however the headphones would not give up, they were adamant on showing me up and would not let the glue hold them together. So the last few months they've just straight up decided to rip open and expose the inner foam. Unbelievable and it's not like I was abusing these headphones or anything as they were mostly handled carefully and used indoors.

In terms of its pros, I guess it's cheap and produces average sound out of the box, looks pretty despite the large size and has decent battery life. If the cups simply stayed put this would be a great buy and I'd recommend it.
