The WH-1000XM4 headphones are without a doubt the best headphones I've ever had the pleasure of using. Despite being wireless, the inbuilt LDAC retains a high fidelity sound, boosted by the stellar noise cancelling. Though they're a bit pricey, I highly recommend them. There's not much to say about these really, they're praised all over the internet and they deserve it, there is very little that's on par with these headphones without spending a fortune. I needed headphones because it was lockdown and I forgot the cable for my wired headphones at work... So I bought these as my partner has an older pair and loves them. Personally I'm not big on headphones, but as far as headphones go, all the good reviews about these are right - they're comfortable, the audio quality is great, and the different modes that let you have noise cancelling or ambient mode are excellent. I mostly use them during Zoom calls for online teaching, and they're really good. I've been using them for the last month or so and no issues.

Honestly owned the last generation of sonys top end headphones and loved those too. Sony can't go wrong with their headphones and pb is always on it with the pricing. Just amazing comfort and battery life. The sound and ANC is incredible however the touch controls can be tough to get use to or work. I wish the custom button actually let you set more custom options and that you could change up all the controls however you want or even out right disable some. But once you get it going, just amazing noise cancelling, you will not even hear people talk properly it's truly mind boggling. Just amazing comfort and battery life. I expected more, especially when it came to using them for online meetings, and ones ability to hear ones self talk, so I end up removing one muff. I also had comments from people on the other end saying I sound muffled. The latest OS X update appears to make the Bluetooth audio sound choppy. But for listening to music they sound pretty good. Although I don’t think one gets the full benefit of IOS music compression standards. Might have to, god forbid, plug them in for that. These headphone are honestly unbelievable. The noise cancelling is great to isolate yourself from your pesky family. It even isolates your thoughts too! I listened to some of my favorite music and I'm pretty sure I warped into the concerts.

They also feature a mode called Ambient Mode, where if enabled you can decide to listen to people/things around you. (Pretty useless feature if you ask me, who'd want to do that?!) But it definitely amplifies the sounds around you.

On a final note, The batteries in these things are made up of nuclear power because they last forever.

The ONLY con I have found about these things on a serious note is weird beeping during music - not sure what causes it, but it's only when connected to my phone. Nothing else. So assume its a dumb Android issue.
