J5create USB 3.1 USB-C Hub

The J5create dongle provides all the ports that I used to have in the old MacBook Pro so I'm able to hook up all the peripherals I want to attach to the machine. It works perfectly well and has the benefit of power input which some externals will need. ( I have a portable hard drive which operates in read-only mode when there is no power attached. )

Even though this dongle is small and light enough to carry easily I have one at work and one at home so that I can leave all the peripherals plugged into the dongle. I only need to pull one plug to free up the laptop. I wish it was just as easy to plug back in. The mouse and keyboard are always available but I have to unplug the cables for the monitor and the external HD and replug them to have them recognised.

I'm pleased that I made the effort to get to PB Tech, they are much better on prices. I bought a similar dongle from Harvey Norman which was almost twice the price and doesn't have power input.

With my new laptop I only had 3 c-ports and need USB connections and HDMI connection as well. This offers 3 USB ports and 1 HDMI port which is very easy and convenient to us. Small, cheap and simple, just throw it in the USBC and you have all the ports you need.
