Lots of trouble
I hand to factory reset the router multiple times as it would run for a period of time and then have "no internet" - It got to the stage where I could not ping the router either on the default IP after a factory reset . For the periods of time it ran, it seemed to work well. But then it became a constant job of trying to keep it running - not what I wanted in a router - product returned to PB Tech for refund. I am now running on a Grandstream GWN7062 to keep the my network working with reduced WiFi coverage in areas of the house. I would like to try the GWN7001 next time and reposition my GWN7062 back to its orginal locationto get my WiFi...view more
I am so use to Cisco gear thought of trying these for a smaller client
Needed a Site to Site VPN so ordered two. Initial impression was this is not going to cut it, the IPSEC tunnel setup is a mess and does not work. Tried and thought will send back to PBTech, Last ditch effort I looked for a firmware upgrade, (the devices were only just delivered). 1.0.5.3 Firmware installed, downloaded 1.0.11.6 and installed it. Completely different software on the device. The IPSec tunnel works. Seems these devices were new to the market and many updates have been applied since stock arrived in NZ.
I am only commenting on the IPSEC side of this device, the site to site ipsec tunnel does work.
Awesome product
I have two AP Grandstream, so this Wired Router is fairly new and has two PoE port, ideal to get rid of my two injectors and get rid of the switch with 8 port as well, I bought this product after my Edgerouter died and to tidy up, set up is a breeze and friendly GUI , It is well priced and easy to get from PBtech but not available on the shelve, needs to be order but it is ok, it arrived in few days , highly recommended

The Grandstream GWN7003 is a Multi-WAN Gigabit VPN router with built-in firewalls that allow businesses to build comprehensive wired, wireless and VPN networks for one or many locations.
It offers high-performance routing and switching power along with built-in VPN support for secure in-office and inter-office connectivity. To provide enterprise-grade security protection and ensure stable network operation, the GWN7003 features a built-in firewall with advanced content security, filtering, threat detection, attack prevention and more. To maximize network reliability, they support traffic load balancing, failover and bandwidth management capabilities.
The GWN7003 include 2 Gigabit SFP ports, 9 Gigabit ethernet ports, and 2 PoE output ports that allow them to provide power to other endpoints. These routers can manage themselves and up to 150 Grandstream GWN Series Wi-Fi APs thanks to an embedded controller located in the products' web user interface. These routers can also be managed with GWN.Cloud and GWN Manager, Grandstream's free cloud and on-premise network management tools.
By providing high-performance routing, VPN support, powerful security protection and easy-to-use network management tools, the GWN Gigabit VPN routers are ideal for a wide variety of deployments including small-to- medium businesses, retail, education, hospitality, healthcare and more.
