Firstly, if you are a hardcore gamer after an after an ultra-precise controller, this probably isn't it.
That being said, as a mediocre gamer myself, this controller is more than good enough given the price.
For me, the controller was very much plug n play. Every game that has XBOX controller mapping worked seamlessly with this gamepad.

Just plugged it in and it worked. Responsive and affordable enough for an average gamer, plays nice with Steam games. Cord long enough that I don't end up tugging on the connection while I play. Although it has been out for years, this one is extremely cost-effective. Perfectly worked for my mac. Gonna buy another one to play with my partner together. It looks good but I can't seem to move or adjust (i.e. move avatar in-game) a small amount. Too big a swing out when only nudging the stick. This is good value especially when on sale.

What I mean by "disposable" is you can let kids handle the controller without you worrying about them destroying this controller.

I purchased this controller to replace my aging 360 controller for Rocket League on PC... Aside from the compatibility issues where the controller was not simply plug and play (I had to delete my previous controller from the device manager, or the key mappings were all wonky).

It became clear pretty quickly that this controller was not going to suit me. I have very large hands, and I end up with one of my knuckles mashed into the back of the controller where R2 is, so I simply can't play with it for long. As for overall build quality, it's pretty poor. I'm not sure where the rubber grips are that were advertised, but the one I got feels like it was made from melted down, recycled soda bottles. The analog sticks are quite imprecise as well.
All in all, I'd prefer to keep playing with my old worn out 360 controller that doesn't have any rubber left on the sticks than this thing. It might be fine for children or people with small hands, but for me, it's a big yikes.

Really solid controller all things considered, the buttons feel a little too clicky for my liking and the triggers are a bit too stiff, but overall quite impressed especially given the price.
