Logitech MX Keys S Advanced Wireless Illuminated Keyboard - Pale Grey

I was looking for a new keyboard and considered this one but went and bought something cheaper. Next day I was back to buy this one. Got the MX Anywhere 3S mouse to go with it and to share the bolt receiver.
Logi are reportedly phasing out the receiver and going solely with Bluetooth. Bluetooth is fine until you need to control the computer before the operating system boots. Love this keyboard, best ever for me. Buying another before they run out just for a spare I was looking for a new keyboard and considered this one but went and bought something cheaper. I use the KB on my laps from time to time or move it around the house (carefully enough though) so it is not just sitting still on the desk. I noticed that the KB started to misbehave regularly - poor connection, lights lives their own life, battery drains quickly. One of the screws fell out and was bouncing around the interior. Apparently the metal screw was causing short circuits at times. I removed the battery casing and extracted the screw. The other ones were quite loosely tightened or rather not tightened well. Fixed that too.
I was lucky that the metal screw did not cause a short circuit strong enough to cook the KB.

Since then no issues but why so poor assembly quality. I have a Logitech pre-Unifying KB+mouse set that is more than 20 years old, travelled a lot, been used in my PC labs and fell a few times from the PC cases and still works great. And the mouse is not double-clicking on its own as some late expensive models tend to do after a year or two of use. Where is that legendary quality of Logitech?
The Bolt dongle is great and new level of security is appreciated but absence of Unifying support is a big bummer. I am ok with the level of Unifying security but can't use those faithful dongles anymore in my PC lab with new keyboards starting from KB MINI. And if I want to use only one type of the dongle I have to upgrade my MX2 Anywhere mouse and bunch of others devices I used to use in my lab and household. For now I'm using a tiny USB hub with both Bolt and Unifying dongles to make work easier and avoid creating another bunch of e-waste.

It's perfect ... tiny but heavy, so it doesn't move. My fingers slide so well into each key. It's really a pleasure to use. Pairing with 3 devices makes it very practical if you multitask. Bought this for my home office—great colour match with my MX mouse.
The keys are quiet and feel great to type on.

This keyboard is great. I have the MX3 mouse and love it. This keyboard is right up there too. The keys have a great feel even though they are low height. The keyboard has a great layout and once you have setup the app on your computer you can set custom buttons. I find the backlight really handy too. I have already connected it to my laptop and tablet. Makes it easy to punch out reports etc. Buy it... it is worth it. This keyboard is great. I have the MX3 mouse and love it.
