Logitech MX Keys S Advanced Wireless Illuminated Keyboard - Pale Grey

Initially a great keyboard, but it failed within a few months and is now utterly dead. The second Logitech keyboard I have purchased that has lasted far less time than I would have expected.

Love the smart backlit keys that sense your hands before they reach the keyboard as they approach, so you can easily see the keys before you type. The keyboard is also super comfortable to use and I've noticed a reduced error rate in my typing due to the design and indentation of the keys. A real pleasure to use. It is slim so using a mousepad has worked well for me, though you may struggle without one. Only thing to note is that the function keys are combined with the action keys, so if you use F1-F12 a lot you may want to reconfigure the keyboard using the app or invest in a keyboard with separate function keys. This is the 3rd one of these I've bought for various setups. Never had connection issues with the bolt receiver and I love that you can connect the mouse to the same receiver so you only take up a single USB port. Battery seems to last for a long time. I purchased this to replace a worn out Logitech MX Keys unit (not the "S" version). The new S version is just as good. I mainly work with CAD and I use the screenshot button a lot.

NOTE: I was previously enjoying using a single Logitech "unifying" receiver with my old keyboard and mouse (Logitech MX Master 3). With this new version you have to use the new "bolt" receiver and my mouse does not support this. No problem if you have plenty of USB ports or a more recent Logitech mouse such as the MX Master 3S.

The Logitech MX Keys S keyboard is an absolute ripper. So easy to connect and a real delight to use. That I can link three different computers to it is just a bonus. The highlighting of the keys makes typing so much easier, as does the very light touch required.

I already have two of the previous version. This purchase replaces the previous version on my home office desk. The displaced keyboard is now in my travel pack. The other one is on my desk at the office that I occasionally visit.

I love these keyboards for work. They're solid, don't flex and have a great feel. A bit heavy for the travel pack, but worth carrying for me so I don't have to adjust to multiple laptop keyboards while writing code.

You can use bluetooth. I just upgraded my MX Anywhere 3S, and retired a 2S MX anywhere.

The MX Keys S also has a quieter keypress. Useful for me when I wake up in the night and code with lights out (nice responsive keyboard illumination). My partner can't hear my typing 3 metres away, but I can over the keyboard.

The flow feature isn't of much use to me as (like most programmers these days) I work on Linux, and Logitech doesn't support Flow on that. I have to hit a button on the keyboard and on the mouse to jump to the laptop. But using remmina to run RDP to the laptop to get a screen on the main display is easier than fiddling with Flow anyway.
