Features
The BT-7 was a World War II light tank that was in service of the Soviet Union. It was an improved variant of the BT-5. The BT tanks are among the fastest tanks of the Second World War.
The BT-7 was made to combat both infantry and light tanks. He had a 45 mm gun and two machine guns. The original design had three, one was mounted in the rear of the turret, but that proved ineffective with only three crew members (it would also make the turret very complex to mass-produce). For that reason, the first tanks were built with a BT-5 gun turret. Some tanks had a model 71-TC radio.
In 1937 the new BT-7 gun turret (with machine gun at the rear) was added and the total ammunition for the gun was increased to 44 rounds. For evening fighting, two special projector-type headlights and a mask were mounted on the gun. The steering wheels, tracks and gearbox were also modified in 1938.
Note: Assembly required. Glue and paint sold separately.
