This battery is a big improvement over the previous, aging one. However, it was manufactured 2 years prior to when we received it. To their credit, PBTech did give us the option of returning it, but we decided to keep it to avoid the hassle of returning it and finding a new one elsewhere. Product works well and I'm sure it was new as it charges normally and lasts about three hours. Only thing was that the antistatic bag wasn't sealed. It hadn't been opened but looked like it had never been sealed as the end was open but the rip pull had never been used. Bought this replacement battery for my laptop about 2 weeks ago and WOW what a difference. This is the genuine battery for my HP laptop and it works like a dream.
