DELL Docks are Awesome
Fantastic docking station - using the same at work and at home.
Note that if using with two OLD DVI monitors (at home) as I am, this doc supports connecting one via display port (with suitable cable) and one via HDMI (again - with suitable cable).
Moving laptop between work and home is now a breeze - so good.
Docking Station works with Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro tablet laptop
Finally got a docking station that works!
Ordered this Dell D6000 docking station for my wife's 2015 Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro tablet laptop after trying a suggested Lenovo WiGig docking station (but our Lenovo Yoga Pro wouldn't recognise the WiGig).
While my wife was in Wellington she spoke to Lawrence from the Wellington PB Tech store who suggested the D3100. I tried to call Lawrence to talk to him about the D6000 that I saw on PB Tech website but Lawrence wasn't working the day I called so I spoke to Cameron Chin in PB Tech's Auckland On-line Sales team. DELL USB dock
One cable connected to HP X360 Laptop provides Networking, Display along with keyboard and mouse USB ports AND powers the Laptop.
Not being locked to one specific laptop is great news as it is frustrating buying a new dock every time a laptop is replaced

Dell D6000 docking unit
An excellent docking unit, easy install, good quality
In order to use it on an HP, it required "setup". I'm sure this works well for some, but not for me. It may be better with a Dell? Anyway, finally managed (after much drama) to get it sorted and working, would've happily paid more for HP version.
Disappointing for the money
This docking station is disappointing for the money. Not only does it not have two HDMI ports (meaning I can't plug in two monitors and have had to get an extra cable to do so), the charging cable isn't even powerful enough to charge the laptop from flat and you have to get the actual laptop charger to get it to boot. Can't really see what on earth you're paying all the money for to be frank if it doesn't even have enough juice to boot up a laptop or run two screens?!
Doesn't charge laptop properly
I plug this into my Dell Precision 7740. All features work, but not well. My monitor only works at 30Hz using the HDMI port on the dock (I haven't tried the DisplayPort outputs yet).
Also, it fails to charge my laptop, even though it is the latest model Dell. The laptop charges fine with a 130W power brick, but apparently the 100W of power that USB-C can provide can't even maintain the battery, let alone charge it.

You can pick-up your online order from any of our stores nationwide. You can select which store you want to pick up from at the checkout. Provided the store you select has stock and there's no hold-ups with payment we will have your order ready within 1 hour (during normal trading hours for that store) otherwise it may take up to 5 working days to transfer the stock to the store so your order can be fulfilled. Returns & Warranty
7 day right of exchange
If you change your mind after making a purchase, or realise you have ordered the incorrect item, you can enjoy the peace of mind that we offer a 7 day exchange policy.
To exchange a product, goods must be sealed / unopened, with packaging in original condition, and accompanied by a valid receipt dated no more than 7 calendar days from when you request an exchange.
If there is not a suitable product that can be exchanged for your returned item you will be offered a credit on your account or gift card based on the value paid at the time of purchase.
Please note, items purchased on finance cannot be exchanged for a gift card.
Hassle free warranty service
If your product develops a fault within the manufacturer warranty period, you can either contact the manufacturer directly (some manufacturers provide a high level of warranty service - including free pickup or in some cases onsite repair), or return to one of our services centres / stores. Where the product has been directly imported by PB Tech, you need to contact us directly or present the product at any one of our service centres / stores together with your proof of purchase.
If your product develops a fault outside of the manufacturer warranty or PB Tech warranty period, we offer a full repair service and are an authorised repair agent for leading brands such as Samsung, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo and more.
