I'm using this with a Samsung Tab S5e running Samsung Dex. There is not much information available at the moment as to what hardware is supported by Dex. While early days, I can say that this product works!
Pro's:
- Charges the tablet when connected to a USB-C type charger.
- Gigabit Ethernet Works.
- HDMI Port works.
- USB ports work; have tested with a RGB backlit gaming mouse & keyboard and external 1.5TB USB3.0 Portable HDD.
- Automatically starts Dex mode when plugged-in.

Con's:
- Does not come with its own charger, you have to use the one supplied with the tablet.

With this setup, I no longer require Windows or MacOS at home.

I used this dock on three different computers and every time the unit got very hot during use. It gets so hot during use, it feels like it could burn your hand. In all other ways it worked fine for connecting to a monitor and hard drive, just concerning it gets so hot. Great way to add those missing ports to a MacBook Pro with a nice cosy form factor for transporting.
I'm using this with a USB-C extension purchased from PB Tech as well, so it doesn't "hang" out of the USB-C port of my MacBook that's sitting up on a laptop stand and it works perfectly. Great way to add those missing ports to a MacBook Pro with a nice cosy form factor for transporting.

This product is great if your are travelling as you can connect up so much more to your laptop whilst on the go and at different locations with different screen/keyboard/network/ & external devices.
