This is charger number 3 for my wife. My wife moves it around a lot as she uses it at home, at the office, and takes it with her to visit clients. Because of this constant plugging/unplugging of the connection, it just doesn't last long at all (which it should, being a portable device). Thankfully these aren't super costly to replace but having to buy new ones at roughly yearly intervals in my opinion exposes some pretty shoddy design. This is charger number 3 for my wife. Reasonably priced considering what they cost, does what it says on the tin. Would be nice if Microsoft made these to last, this is my 3rd one, so that's probably 400ish unexciting extra dollars spent.

I bought this because the previous one have perished - after only one year. the cord had kept coiling itself, putting pressure on the area where it connects with the adapter; eventually making the rubber sheath break.

This is an amazing piece of kit. Enables me to charge my Surface while out and about. This accessory is perhaps the most important that gets sold with the Surface Pro 3 as the battery life is complete pants. For three weeks now this has operated without fault. O highly recommend this.
