My Predator Triton 500 would get up to the 97celcius mark before this product and now it sits at 56c when gaming hard. The fan is quieter than the laptops so I don't even notice its running sound wise. My laptop was overheating so I purchased this cooling pad and it works very well and the fan really is silent. It's light and easy to fit in my laptop bag. Fan is silent, large enough base for my rather large gaming laptop. Cooling-wise it's not as effective as I like it to be. I have used better ones from other sites which had cost less. I just got this and I use MSI Afterburner to see the temps and it said 63 degrees Celsius which is don't get me wrong that's good but i wish it cooled it down a bit more just to squeeze a bit more frames into games, programs and stuff but none the less it's decent and I do recommend to those that need more cooling for their laptop from like 80 degrees to 60. Im happy about this purchase. It's alright and you get what you pay for. The fans are not strong and only one works properly- you have to slap it around or hit it a bit for both to work. It also makes an annoying whistling noise when both do work, but this shouldn't be that much of a problem if you're using headphones. I like the stand settings and the light feature. It may seem like a simple product but what it does and how quiet it is at max speed, you'll forget you even have the thing plugged in. I brought 3 of these, one for my laptop, my dads laptop and third for my modded 360 which fits perfectly. Never had an issue with this product and would highly recommend to anyone. This laptop cooling fan does exactly what it's designed to do. Lowered my sons gaming laptop temperature significantly so he no longer has overheating issues. Great pad, handles the extra heat my XPS puts out when doing data crunching. Fans very quiet and has the advantage of being able to dial the fan speed up or down as needed.
