Grandstream HT801 Telephone Adapter Single Port FXS Analog (ATA)

Love the camera but it took a week to get it operational. Not great if you're a novice as the instructions don't stipulate that you need an I-Phone to download the app. It won't work with an Android phone. It doesn't state this on the website so spent a very frustrating week trying to get into my new camera until I finally tried it on someone else's I-Phone and was finally able to use it. Now I'm filming and think it's great. Love the camera but it took a week to get it operational. Hopeless Chinese made junk - Grandstream VOIP adapter worked for its 1 year warranty then has faulted regularly since. Nothing but troiuble. Will never buy Grandstream junk again! I decided to ditch Slingshot as my internet/ electric supplier as they kept putting up prices and adding new charges. First step was to replace the homeline and so I decided to move to VOIP. There were many advantages for this, cheaper international calling and the ability to receive home calls on my mobile. Plus, being able to take advantage of those rates whilst overseas. I decided on a VOIP supplier and they recommended this device. PBTech's price was $20 cheaper and since I had already decided on replacing the old Slingshot modem with one from PB Tech that supported incoming VPN, I ordered this at the same time. Extremely POOR SUPPORT from the USA-based help-line - Gee - "upgrade the SW" was the most intelligent written response!

Was a little skeptical about purchasing this with the small amount of documentation online. I got it up and running with 2talk in a matter of minutes. Works very well. Perfect for what we needed. Had some standard DECT cordless phones that we wanted to convert to VoIP phones. Easy as to log in to the admin gateway of ATA and input relevant info. Definitely a step up in reliability from my PAP2T. Plenty of features, but simple enough to set up. V. good value.
