TP-Link Archer T2U (AC600) Dual-Band WiFi 5 USB Wireless Adapter

The specs are good, and when it works, it can theoretically achieve really good reception range and speed. But I had really bad experience trying to set it up with my second hand desktop. It's been plagued by a bizarre myriad of connection issues. Sometimes the reception drops down from 4 bars to 1 for no reason. The computer forgets it has a valid IP address every five minutes. The issues have been wide ranging in their nature and all but impossible to fix using any conventional methods I could find (flushing DNS, reinstalling drivers, changing USB ports, etc.).

It was working well for the first few weeks, but now it keeps loosing connection, and certainly doesn't provide "lag-free online gaming", as it's either lagging to the point where it's unplayable or just not connecting. I got a Mini PC without Wifi capabilities, and this Archer AC600 did the trick. It didn't require any setup beyond plugging it in. Easy to use, good value, and a happy customer. Solid product. Far better than my previous USB wireless N stick. Doesn't drop out and streams at the limit of my broadband speed of 49 MBPS. My previous wireless N stick couldn't do half that speed.
