The glide is surprisingly good for what this product is, and the stitching around the edge is flawless. While the glide IS good, I wouldn't suggest using this as a gaming deskpad IMO (this is to be expected though so not a downside). I have a hardwood desk and this desk mat stops my wrists from getting sore when studying on both keyboard and mouse. I purchased this pad because I like the aesthetics over a standard mouse pad and for extra comfort for my keyboard. It has works well. It is a bit thinner than some other pads, but I haven't noticed any discomfort with this. This has been a great size mat for my 1200mm wide WFH desk. I have more than enough room to move my mouse, as I use a tenkeyless keyboard - those with a full size keyboard may find they don't have enough room.
