Creality Falcon 2 Pro 60W Laser Engraver & Cutter

This is my first venture into Laser Engraving and cutting.
The machine arrived well packaged. It has a print area of 400x400mm
The machine was easy to assemble - except the flexible lid. That took a bit to master, but when I used the connecting bar to stop it flexing it went staight on.
USB connection for machine and camera were fiddly, but I eventually got them to connect with 3rd party USB Cables and without the USB a to USB C connectors that were supplied

It has air assist to extract smoke and fumes, so the included exhaust hose needs to be vented outside, generally by putting the end of the hose out a window or door.
While Creality has its own software to create and send files for print, Lightburn (free to download and use for 30 days before needing to purchase), is pretty much the go to software to use for all Hobby level laser engravers, and I have made quite a bit of headway in a short time with learning and creating projects which I have sucessfully completed.
If you want some good tutorials for laser engraving in general, check our The Louisiana Hobby Guy on You Tube and his forum is very helpful.
I am very happy with my purchase of the Creality Falcon 2 Pro 60w machine.

CONS
Nothing to write home about here.
Both parts of the lid could have come partially assembled.
The USB cables could be longer and the connectors need reviewing. My Bambu 3D printer and Cricut Vinyl cutter are both wireless. This should be a option Creality should consider for future versions.
Being a laser diode engraver there are some materials it won't handle. (Plain Metals, Clear Acrylic etc.) Do your research. CO2 and Fibre lasers are way more expensive but also cut and engrave a wider range of materials.
Minor things really
All in all a very good purchase does most things I wanted it for.

Great for the beginner to discover what can be done with lasers. Note that the manual on operation is rather lite and it does not have the details on some of the switches that can turn off some of the safety features - which you have to do if you are using the rotary attachment. Also there is a great free bit of sortware which was designed especially with it called Falcon Design Space which after calibration allows you to use the camera like Lightburn it has all the material setting built-in so you do not have to add them unlike lightburn. The only issue with that is it does not yet support the rotary attachment. Great for the beginner to discover what can be done with lasers.
