Raspberry Pi Aluminium Heatsink Set for Raspberry Pi 5 / Pi 4 / Pi 3 / Pi 2 / Zero (3 Pieces)

My Pi 3b was running pretty hot, the heatsink dropped it by about 10 degrees so I'm pretty happy with that. Product arrived promptly and the price was excellent. Cheers! These heatsinks provide a pretty abyssmal thermal solution for a device that can get very hot. I would be more interested in getting something that could clamp for a tighter fit, preferably with thermal paste rather than pads.

I found my Pi getting to 70degrees celsius and higher while playing 4k video. Low work loads are easily handled though you could do that without these heatsinks. You will reduce heat by by putting these on obviously. Very easy to install, simply peel the sticky wrapper off and place it on top of the CPU.

Bought for a Raspberry Pi 4, on there own in the official case they are not enough(already knew that was adding a fan too) with the modded official case (with 13 holes drilled by reviewer) and the fan they work well. This is part of a DIY project... Pros: very cost effective heat sink setup, lightweight and works well. Only downside is lack of instructions for fitting heat sinks to raspberry pi, however easy enough to look up on YouTube for help. My only suggestion would be to include instructions where exactly these heatsinks have to be placed. I had to google myself some instructions, and they were easy enough to find. You really don't want to rely on the heatsinks only, you want an actively or passively cooled case as well. With a FLIRC case and two of those and graphics CPU and RAM keep the temperature of the Pi in the 40's, without additional cooling the Pi gets unpleasantly hot when watching a video, for example.
