Raspberry Pi Pironman 5 NVMe M.2 SSD PCIe Mini PC Case for Raspberry Pi 5

Assembly straightforward & both video & print instructions easy to follow no issues downloading support software. Yes it's expensive and not quite as portable as some of the other Pi+fans+SSD cases... but everything else about this tiny RGB desktop-style case is amazing. The assembly was fiddly and time-consuming but fairly easy and very well documented, and once it's complete, your Pi 5 has been improved by:

* an NVMe hat so you can boot off a proper drive and use the microSD for backups etc.
* great cooling (not the best available, but much better than using the Pi by itself)
* full sized ports on the back of the case (HDMI, USB, ethernet) making it much easier to connect to other devices

This case basically turns your Raspberry Pi 5 into a tiny modern desktop PC: it's vastly more expensive than the official Pi case, but vastly better as well.

As other reviews have said the cost is on the highest acceptable side.

Things to check as you build

There is a 4 ping header which supplies the MVMe card. Darn hard to see as the MVMe holder is black. This is not shown in the instructions or the videos. I ended up by wondering what was going on as the pins did not allow the NVMe card to lower into the correct place. I worked around this by putting the header pins into the MVMe care and then palcing them on the pins below.

As pointed out, check that you have a suitable NVMe drive. Crucial E100 worked for me.

Follow the instructions, it will save to having to re-do some work. Also once built the PI is "buried" and I suspect hard to get out for reuse.

A bit fiddly to put together. I had to pull apart a bit and recheck some of the connectors which then fixed power up.

One of the cutest things I own. Honestly so fun. A bit fiddly but easy enough to put together. I had one faulty part but the supplier replaced it for free fairly quickly and painlessly.
