SENSIBO AIR Smart Wi-Fi Air Conditioner Controller with Temperature, Humidity & Motion Sensor

My heatpump doesn't do a great job of staying within temp. So if I say heat to 22 degrees it has a habit of just blasting way past that, or sometimes stops because maybe the air around it is warm but the rest of the room is not.

I bought the Sensibo because I thought it could be put further away, sense the temperature and control the heat accordingly. It can, and it works well, but to get that feature is a NZ$60 a year subscription and it just doesn't feel worthwhile for the 3 months of the year it is cold enough to warrant it.

It was easy to setup and easier than using the remote to set a schedule, and it's nice to be able to turn your heatpump on when you are on way home from a night out. But the killer feature, and the only reason I bought the device, doesn't work without spending more money.

Pretty easy to setup, I had it working in less than 10 mins. The app works well, there's minimal delays from sending a command through the app to the unit.

The only down side is it doesn't work with Siri that well. It doesn't change the fan speed when I ask Siri for some reason.

I moved from Ambi Climate after they shut down their services. Sensibo works well at the basic functionality of controlling your air con or heat pump, but it doesn't have the smart features readily available to you. Some advanced features are locked behind a subscription service which is understandable as it's not free to provide a cloud service, but disappointing when coming from a service that had them included. Much better than the sensibo sky in terms of its connectivity and also looks much better. However just like the sensibo sky, it stops functioning altogether as soon as it pairs with siri shortcuts, and would require a complete hard reset and setting it up again. Otherwise despite all the criticism I still think it was a worthy purchase, as it's saving us time, we can still control it remotely for the dogs at home, and everyone loves it

Really recommend the Sensibo Air Smart wifi aircon controller. It has allowed us to really control the temperature of our house, be provided with analytics and think about energy use. Sensibo was simple to set up and connect to the A/C, extend the communication to integrate with Google home. Can up the remote control for the A/C in the draw. Apart from having some issues with the initial setup (had to restart and update the device) this has been a great addition. Purchased it due to the HomeKit support. I already have the standard one and was so impressed I bought this for a second heat pump. It actually works better than the majority of the manufacturers wifi systems with more options and is super simple to use.
