Edifier R2000DB 120W Powered Bookshelf Speaker System with Bluetooth - Warm Oak

I’ve used the R1700BT for over 5 years, and when I saw the R2000DB during an audio sale, I decided to give them a try based on positive online reviews. These speakers definitely feel like an upgrade over the R1700BT, although you won’t miss out much if you get/have R1700BT. The optical output provides better audio quality than the aux cables, but I did encounter popping noise every time audio started or stopped. Fortunately, this turned out to be a Windows issue that can be fixed by disabling unused audio devices in the device manager and restarting the PC. It would have been even better if Edifier had included a subwoofer output. Got these for my Turntable setup and I'm not disappointed. The 5" woofers are an absolute treat and sound amazing as well as the rest of the speakers. Would definitely recommend. I'm using these as bedside speakers. The 5-inch woofer is sufficient for a small room, and the sound is clear and crisp. The high-gloss piano black finish is a perfect decorative touch for my bedroom as well. One downside is that it doesn’t enter sleep mode when there’s no signal, and the tiny remote control isn’t very intuitive. I'm using these as bedside speakers. Amazing speakers - better than anything I've owned before by a long shot. The sound travels really well, but doesn't pierce walls too much. I wouldn't choose these if you're looking to shake the house down, but if you just want a good set of speakers for reasonable volume with great dynamic range (strong bass and crisp treble) these fit the bill perfectly. Nice having a proper 5m cable between them too, rather than poking speaker wire into a connector. Highly recommended!
