Edifier R1700BT 66W Powered Bookshelf Speaker System with Bluetooth 5.1 - Black

Coming from some Logitech speakers (Z337), these are a massive upgrade in terms of quality, for about the same price. I've had these for almost a month and they sound and look great. They have good clarity across frequencies and can be tuned to your liking using the treble/base controls on the side. I was initially unsure about giving up the dedicated subwoofer, but I have found the bass on these to be sufficient - even with the bass setting in its neutral position. But, please NOTE: there is no password or security pin for Bluetooth, and the way to turn Bluetooth off is quite tricky (press and hold the volume key for 15 seconds). These speakers are always in pairing mode. So, it's better to use the Line-In connection or just switch speakers off when they are not in use.

Despite this minor drawback these speakers are really good! The sound quality is very good for these small babies.

I got these speakers to improve the audio during meeting as, let’s face it, laptop speakers are not the best quality.
For the price the audio is brilliant and clear with good depth of sound and more than enough volume to suit my home office. Please don’t expect DJ or Studio quality sound and volume, there is a reason those types of monitors cost what they do.
The only down side I’ve found with these speakers is the Bluetooth can be temperamental when switching back to it from using the Line input, which I do regularly. However, over all they are a good speaker for the price and did exceed my expectations in terms of sound quality.

Out of the box the speakers look very good and the Bluetooth connection is painless. In free-space speakers sound excellent, however when placed either side of my monitor next to a wall there is way too much bass with the controls in the "flat" positions. There is heaps of sound power if you like it loud. Not quite my Edirol work speakers but more than good enough for use at home. Your site seemed to recommend a set of leads with the speakers which were bought. As it turns out there was already a set of leads with the speakers which are in use and the extra leads are surplus. As the title suggests these are great bookshelf speakers to get into HiFi. Great entry into HiFi audioThough a sub-woofer would help the lower frequencies more, for the price it is superb.
