For semi regular use this unit is perfect, the 10 sheet rating is for 70gsm paper, most regular paper is 80gsm, just bear this in mind.
Remember to empty the canister too, only time it jammed on me was when the basket was over full.

The only mistake I made was to not do research on the lubricating oil which turns out to be plain canola oil; there is no need to buy the manufacturer's own product as this oil is available anywhere - you just need a fine dropper to dispense it.

It's a bit noisy & it's time consuming if you have a lot to shred.

This is being used for typical household shredding, including a backlog of formerly important papers! I have been extremely happy with how the shredder runs. I use it for 5-10mins at a time and then find something else to do for a wee while before starting up again. My previous shredder was much cheaper but much, much quicker to overheat and stop. Very good shredder for its price. I don’t have high volumes so have never reached the cut-off period, but well worth the purchase. Big enough bin to not have to clean it out regularly. A little more power than the last Fellowes I bought. Hoping this one lasts longer than 2 years. :-)

Super quiet and super-fast. Replacing a 12 year old Techno cross cut shredder - this Fellowes 60Cs is a fantastic updated product. If it lasts as well as the Techno which as I don't have a fire I used for "IDENTITY safety" shredding addressed envelopes etc. AAAAA++++++ Super quiet and super-fast. This shredder gets it done but struggles with more than 4 sheets at a time even though it says 10 sheets. But you just feed them in 4's and you get it done. lasted up over 8 years for the last one but we make it work hard with over feeding it sometimes so wasn't surprised it died and just didn't feel the need to upgrade to a better model. Brought this shredder for work. Looked at other shredders , but this had a quicker rest period and the sheet maximum is 10. Very happy with product, will shred credit cards as well.
