I needed an access point for a downstairs room. I had seriously considered a Netgear Orbi MESH system but given I had cat6 cabling in the ceiling downstairs I decided the AC Lite Access Point was the better option. I had also read some adverse feed back in the Orbi which together with the price put me off that solution. The Ubiquiti management system works seamlessly allowing me to manage the switch and AP from my upstairs office. Quality of the Unifi switch is very good being metal. You can not however stack the switch as it is fan less and needs to "breathe". I purchased both units from PB Tech (Penrose and CBD branches). Good service from both stores.

Works very well with the Spark router that I have and the Ultra Fibre line. Hassle free and once the UniFi controller adopts it, its a breeze to set up and manage. The UniFi controller is the key to getting the switch to work well as it stores your network configuration. Any change in the configuration will mean resetting and adopting. We continue to get speeds of over 800 Mbps on the download and over 400 Mbps on the upload which is inline with Sparks 1Gb Ultra Fibre plan. I have used a cheaper PoE switch with Unifi kit without problems but this Unifi Switch communicates with the Unfi Controller software and provides additional stats.

It does what it claims and have not issue with this in principle. Quite handy to figure out between 100mb/1000mb connection...
