Worked really well straight out of the box. Lots of flexibility to add apps etc. Would be an advantage to have space for SD card to increase memory and add the possibility of recording. Works perfectly from the get go. Install Google Play and then you are ready to install whatever app you want to install, at least so far I have not found an app not working on this device. I bought this about 2 weeks ago to replace an old chrome cast i had for about 3 years. I am really impressed and super satisfied. Really easy set-up and easy to use. Purchased this yesterday 7/7/21 and the set up process worked okay. It did take some time before it connected to the internet via my google app on my mobile. But it will not download to update which says this is required before going further? So trying to get pass this point. So Frustrating .... I got the item from PBtech as it's regular price was 20% cheaper than other stores. It mostly works as advertised but since my router is a bit far away there is buffering in some of the SkySport Now channels. Especially when I view the recorded games. Maybe it is not able to stream Hidef over the WIFI. But that only on SkySport Now app, other apps work fine. So fix the buffering I had to buy a MicroUSB ethernet cable similar to the one you get with Chromecast Ultra and I use Ethernet instead of WIFI. They connect easily to your wifi and allow you to download any apps from the Google play store. Simple to use and gives you the ability to turn any TV into a smart TV. Can also be used as a chromecast which is a nice bonus. Good product does what it says on the box. Have bought 2 of these now and never had an issue.
