This is in my opinion is better than a Chromecast. It has all the channels you need, easy to set up, can cast from phone to tv and the remote is amazing as I lost mine and now this makes my tv work and is good size too. Very happy, highly recommend. I have an old version of the fire stick and believed this would be better to purchase than another fire stick due to the free view and sky sport portions Morale of the story is it was more expensive, constantly freezes while changing Chanels and the sport you want to watch is still under the pay version of Sky so no benefit there.can’t search the internet like you can with the fire stick I would rather have bought another fire stick. Had a smart TV that wasn't smart enough (2015 model) and had no aerial, so this was perfect solution to watch the Paris Olympics on Freeview. Simple plug and play. Only downside is you have to plug into the wall for power source. Cheaper at PB Tech than other big box stores as well! What a great device, easy to set up and use. The remote makes it easy to use TV. Our old TV is now clever and we can watch freeveiw in bad weather as well as easy find movies etc. Paired to our phones no problems, other than getting 1st dibs on it before other household members. Had a TV that already had smart features but the system was painfully slow. Got this little dongle and it is quick and responsive in comparison. The 4 dedicated app buttons on the remote which includes NZ Freeview are an awesome plus as most remotes generally just have Netflix and Prime at the most. If this is plugged into a ARC socket you can essentially ditch your old TV remote. I've also side-loaded an IPTV app and it works flawlessly. This unit was simple and works just fine. They only problem I have is the very short hdmi cable, which is good, but it is very stiff. I wanted to double side the adaptor on the back of the TV, but the stiff cable is not very flexible and pushes out and the double sided sticking didn't hold the device in place.
