No problems. Software is a bit disappointing and unpredictable, but the hardware can't be faulted.

While working away on our computers one day we heard a beep from our recently installed Dynamix UPSD1600 Defender. I commented to my good lady sounds like some one has hit something on the power network. The next day we read in the news a power pole had been hit about 15 to 20 kilometers away. We didn't lose power but the Defender recognised there had been been a spike it the power network. So I think it is certainly doing the job of watching our power supply and there for our modem & phones if needed. Very happy with the product as it is a recent purchase for us after changing to wireless broadband. Does what is supposed to do, Bought to replace an older smaller UPS that the battery had died in. Software is pretty good, I like the self test feature that you can automate. It's simple to set up but it's kind of big, heavy and long so it needs a little space. The 3 point power plug outputs for your devices are all place at the back and the LED read out is at the front. Because of that it can be hard to position it in an enclosed space like a server cabinet and still use the LED read out. Great product, does everything it says it will, well. Checked it out by turning the power off to the security cams and monitors it kept them running for quite some hours. The main selling point of this was the really long warranty and guarantee that offers protection to your sensitive hardware. I'm really impressed with the pricing vs battery capacity. It's also a rather solidly constructed UPS as opposed to some of the others I have used that have been little more than batteries with flimsy shells. One downside is some of the heat output, it does get a little toasty and I'm still nowhere near the max output on it.
