Its got a horrible electric/transformer/ozone smell which im hoping will fade in time. Had several UPS's over the years and none had this level of stank.

I had an old CyberPower UPS which was not working properly. The old UPS cause the computer to shutdown instead of staying during a voltage spike. I decided to give this Eaton UPS a go having has a good experience with a lower wattage version previous. The Eaton UPS worked as advertised and I am happy with the performance. The only thing to note that is that it does emit some kind of electrical smell which is starting to subside after a couple of weeks. Other than that. Perfect little no frill UPS. My previous UPS did not have any way to see the status. With this one, you can download the UPS Companion app and connect with USB. You can set it up to do a shutdown of your PC so if power fails when you are away, things shut down nicely.
