Orico Aluminum Alloy 4 Port USB 3.0 Clip Type Hub - Silver

A very clever and donvenient design is hampered by the fact that it simply does not 'play nicely' with my USB-A 2.0 flight sim devices. It appears to be OK for charging and USB 3.0 however, Will need to find another use for it elsewhere. Not what I expected from Orico. Good little hub, small, robust and the ability to attach it to desks etc. is a great idea. Good little hub, small, robust and the ability to attach it to desks etc. is a great idea.

Having the hub attached to the desk in a physical manner makes one handed plugging really easy which is great, and it maximises desk cleanliness/space.

All of these ORICO hubs (I also own the non-attachable 4-USB one) seem to have an issue with e.g. my Microsoft sculpt wireless keyboard & mouse on OSX where the transmitter won't activate unless it is unplugged and re-plugged after the computer is woken up. This is quite a pain.

I've ended up using this hub as a designated charging unit rather than computer data transfer. Overall I love it, but the keyboard/mouse transmitter issue is annoying.

Attached it on the side of the computer desk top; it's done wonders for the cable management of all the chargers. Frame with the clip is well made; a tiny shame the back cover is merely grey plastic, but most attachment configurations won't leave that panel visible anyway (we have ours tucked in a corner of the wall; the advertised position on a monitor would leave the plastic facing the floor). A gimmick, form factor, but if it suits your workspace, it's a mighty handy one! One less thing on the desk, and a more secure point for one-handed plugging & unplugging.

I have a Streacom DB4 fanless PC case but it has all the USB ports on the underside where they are a total pain if you want to plug something in. The Orico clip fits beautifully on the lower edge of the case and matches the DB4 as though it were an optional accessory. Very pleased I found it. Thanks to PB tech for having lots of options.
