Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GAMING OC 16GB GDDR7 Graphics Card

This card is big and I had to remove the drive bay out of my case for it to fit in there.It slots in Alright ,just be careful to remove the stickers and the plastic protective cover on the back plate.There is also a rubber plug on the mobo interface.Don't expect to hear a click as it slides in at least mine didn't. Included is a bracket to stop the moement because it is a hefty lil bugger,it was fairly straight forward to get it on the card.The instructions are very minimalistic.After that I needed to plug in three 8 pin cables into the plug that comes with the card.,this went smoothly enough .So when I pushed in this supplied plug in all the mass of cables was weighing on the plug ,to get round this I used some velcro strips to tie the weighty cable to a bar running across the case.When I powered on the computer the fun started,I had to grab the video cable and put it into the mobo's hdmi port because there was no signal coming from the gpu.I took the card out ,made sure it was seated properly ,put it all back together fired it up and hey presto ,never been so glad to see a mobos manufacture name pop up on screen,computer continued to boot to windows and found the 5080,what a relief.Another point to remember .You must ensure the power cable is properly seated into the gpu.

As the title says, the card is big, delivers decent performance, and seems more efficient than its 4000 series predecessor. For me, it’s essentially a downgrade from the 4090.

Pros:
- Quiet operation with solid 4K performance.
- Overall good build quality.
- Comes with a support bracket.

Cons:
- Initially, I thought the card was faulty due to black screens under load. However, reseating it in the PCI-E slot and reconnecting the power cable resolved the issue.
- Compared to the 4090 Gaming OC, this card feels less robust, as it uses more plastic instead of metal components.

Just got one of these and I think its great! Although I am coming from a 2080 super so it is a huge jump for me. Probably not if you have a 40 series.

The GPU is massive!!!! So check specs and how much ur case can fit. My MSI mag pano100rz could fit a max of 390mm, and this one is 340mm. Also, it's really tall! so make sure you factor that in to your build. I had to route some cables under it because of how tall it is.

2730mhz clock.
Haven't had any issues with the gpu so far im pairing it with a ryzen 7 7800X3D

If you can afford it but don't wanna pay for a 5090, Get this!

This thing chews up any game at 4k, currently paired with an 9950x3d and playing battlefield beta on Ultra at 4k around 120fps, feels so smooth and looks amazing on G8 oddesy monitor. - Behemoth of a card, overbuilt cooling/vapour chamber means great thermals in game, averaging 44.5c AIDA64 Extreme stress test.
- DLSS 4 is works better than I expected, 2x was the sweet spot in Cyberpunk 2077 for me
- The support bracket is a well needed addition and easy to install

- Generational uplift is pretty poor
-Don't really like the flimsy plastic slider, detracts from the aesthetics of the card if anything.
-The cost to performance isnt great, the cheaper options definitely are better from a pure gaming standpoint Pros

Marvel Rivals went from dipping to 120 from 180-200 to a a solid 244FPS (I capped it) The card's a bit of a behemoth compared to my old one, but installation was fairly easy.
