Features

Hello, Apple Intelligence.

Get the highlights.

All-new ultracompact design. Front and back ports. Fits, flexes and flies in any setup.

Built for Apple Intelligence. Personal, private, powerful.[1]

M4. M4 Pro. Next-level performance. Game-changing graphics. More power to you.

Meet the first carbon-neutral Mac.[3] One giant leap for all Mac-kind.

Take a closer look.

Design - Looks small. Lives large.

Introducing the far mightier, way tinier, all-new Mac mini. Five by five inches of pure power and purpose. Redesigned around Apple silicon to unleash the full speed and capabilities of M4 and M4 Pro chips. With a wide array of ports, now on the front and back. Mac mini is the definition of efficiency - and the first carbon-neutral Mac. It truly is the little Mac that could.

1/20 the size yet up to 6x faster
compared with the top-selling PC desktop in its price range.[4]

Built to chill.

Putting this much power in such a small space took a whole new thermal architecture. Within Mac mini, air is guided to different levels of the system, and all of it flows through the foot. Combined with Apple silicon's unmatched power efficiency, this allows Mac mini to breeze through intensive workloads at outrageous speeds. It's calm, cool and perfected.

Performance - M4 and M4 Pro. Champion chips.

Now with M4 and M4 Pro, Mac mini delivers tremendous performance and next-level AI capabilities. Both chips feature the world's fastest CPU core, so everything feels snappy and fluid. Thanks to a powerful GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, you'll experience incredibly realistic game graphics and smooth 3D rendering. And an advanced Neural Engine runs on-device Apple Intelligence at blazing-fast speed.

- Hardware-accelerated ray tracing for game-changing graphics.
- Drives up to three displays.
- World's fastest CPU core for incredible responsiveness.[10]

Productivity
Make short work of everyday tasks, open and switch between apps seamlessly, and create and collaborate across apps like Microsoft Excel, Slack and Zoom. And with Apple Intelligence, you have all kinds of features to supercharge productivity.

Creativity
Pursue hobbies, passions and even pro-level creative projects like editing video in Final Cut Pro, beat-making and mixing music in Logic Pro, 3D modelling in Blender, or designing in Adobe Photoshop.

STEM
Analyse massive data sets in MATLAB, craft 2D and 3D models in Autodesk AutoCAD, or even power a mobile medical station for imaging and charts.

Gaming
Play thrilling games like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.[11] Or enable hardware-accelerated ray tracing in titles like Myst, Control Ultimate Edition12 and Layers of Fear 2023 - for incredibly vibrant and realistic light, shadows and reflections.

Coding
Write and compile code faster with predictive code completion in Xcode. And build and test your app across multiple simulators quicker than ever.

M4

From rich presentations and immersive gaming to full-on video production, M4 can power any pursuit. Its incredible single-threaded CPU performance brings speed and responsiveness to the things you do every day. While outstanding multithreaded CPU performance and high-bandwidth unified memory help you tackle almost anything you put your mind to.

- 10-core CPU
- 10-core GPU
- 16-core Neural Engine
- Up to 32GB unified memory
- 120 Gbps memory bandwidth
- Support for up to two 6K displays and one 5K display

Apple Intelligence - Brains. Supreme.

Apple Intelligence is the personal intelligence system that helps you write, express yourself and get things done effortlessly. With groundbreaking privacy protections, it gives you peace of mind that no-one else can access your data - not even Apple.[1]

Writing Tools. Apple Intelligence can proofread your text and rewrite different versions until the tone and wording are just right, and summarise selected text with a click.

Image Playground. Create fun, original images based on a description, a concept or even a person from your Photos library.

Natural language search in Photos. Search for photos and videos simply by describing what you're looking for.

Great powers come with great privacy.

Apple Intelligence is designed to protect your privacy at every step. It's integrated into the core of your Mac through on-device processing. So it's aware of your personal information without collecting your personal information.

And with groundbreaking Private Cloud Compute, Apple Intelligence can draw on larger server-based models, running on Apple silicon, to handle more complex requests for you while protecting your privacy.

macOS - Let your apps fly.

Mac mini comes loaded with incredible built-in apps, industry-leading privacy and security, and amazing features for work and play. And macOS brings more speed and responsiveness to all your go-to apps - from Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to Slack and Adobe Photoshop.

Mac + iPhone - One-two punch.

When you use iPhone and Mac mini together, they work like magic. You can make and answer phone calls and text messages from your iPhone directly on your Mac, use your iPhone as a webcam or document scanner, and access your iPhone wirelessly with the iPhone Mirroring app in the Dock.20

iPhone Mirroring
See and use what's on your iPhone from your Mac, without having to reach for it.

Universal Clipboard
Copy text, images, photos and videos on your iPhone and paste to your Mac - or vice versa.

AirDrop
Wirelessly send photos, files, documents and more between your iPhone, your Mac and other nearby Apple devices.

Accessories - Plug and slay.

Mac mini is designed to pair perfectly with Studio Display, Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse. But it's also ready to work with displays and accessories you already own. So you can mix, match and make Mac mini yours.

Frequently asked questions

Can I swap out parts and/or add/change/remove operating systems in a PB Tech PC?

We can add any part to a PC for a small fee as long as we don't need to remove an existing part for it to fit, for example adding more RAM, an extra hard drive, installing a Windows OS, or adding a graphics card to a PC without one (we can even SLI/Crossfire for you if it is compatible). We cannot change components that are part of an existing build e.g. Upgrade an existing graphics card or add a SSD with Windows installed if the PC only has a single hard drive (as the OS is already pre-installed). If you do have a specific requirement, then one of our experienced sales team will be happy to build a system that suits your needs.

[11] Carbon reductions are calculated against a business-as-usual scenario as modelled by Apple: 1) No use of clean electricity for manufacturing or product use, beyond what is already available on the latest modelled grid (based on regional emissions factors). 2) Apple's carbon intensity of key materials as of 2015 (our baseline year for our 2030 product carbon neutrality goal). Carbon intensity of materials reflects use of recycled content and production technology. 3) Apple's average mix of transportation modes (air, rail, ocean, ground) by product line across three years (fiscal years 2017 to 2019) to best capture the baseline transportation emissions of our products.
[12] We will balance remaining residual emissions for Mac mini with high-quality carbon credits. For more information about our approach to carbon removal, please see our Carbon Removal Strategy white paper: apple.com/nz/environment/pdf/Apples_Carbon_Removal_Strategy_White_Paper.pdf.
[13] Recycled aluminium in the thermal module applies to Mac mini with M4 chip only.
[14] Recycled copper in the thermal module applies to Mac mini with M4 Pro chip only.

[17] Apple's Regulated Substances Specification describes Apple's restrictions on the use of certain chemical substances in materials in Apple products, accessories, manufacturing processes and packaging used for shipping products to Apple's end-customers. Restrictions are derived from international laws or directives, regulatory agencies, eco-label requirements, environmental standards and Apple policies. Every Apple product is free of PVC and phthalates except for AC power cords in India, Thailand (for two-prong AC power cords) and South Korea, where we continue to seek government approval for our PVC and phthalates replacement. Apple products comply with the European Union Directive 2011/65/EU and its amendments, including exemptions for the use of lead such as high-temperature solder. Apple is working to phase out the use of these exempted substances for new products where technically possible.

Read up and watched a lot of reviews on the Mac mini M4 chip before purchasing. No regrets whatsoever! Instead of a laptop, I have a portable Mac wherever I go that packs a punch! I never encountered any issues so far and looking forward to using this for the long haul.

Excellent

My first Mac computer after like 15 years. Got this because my Windows laptop was struggling with Lightroom with my Fuji camera files. Really happy with the performace so far. One thing to note however is that, if you're planning to boot with a external drive, save yourself a lot of headaches and don't.

Significant improvement and great price point

Did not expect this to be light years ahead of the Mac it was replacing, matches well with thunderbolt compatible external SSD

small but powerful

I have had only good experiences with the Mac mini. It is very responsive and super quick. It handles multi-tasking very well. It’s even got a built-in speaker. It’s just packed full of features. I use it with the two screens and work and can highly recommend it.

Great value for money

Compared quite a few options before settling on the Mac Mini and this particular spec. Setup within 10 mins and has been perfect for day to day work and some more intensives tasks too. Small form factor is a big plus.
The power button being on the bottom is mildly annoying. But overall very happy with it after the few weeks of use.

Disappointed in this model - Would not reccomend for Fusion 360

I upgraded from an old intel nuc that I've been using for CAD work in fusion 360. I spent far too long waiting for the software to complete functions so I upgraded to this to be more productive. Unfortunately, this computer seems to have little to no improvement and I'm still frustrated with how long I find myself waiting for functions to complete. I wish I put up with my nuc for a while longer so I could have invested in the top tier M4 pro model instead :(

Awesome Apple Machine

Couldn't be happier really. Replaced my 12 year old Macbook Pro. Super easy to set-up, super fast and the ideal machine for work - using cloud-based apps like G Suite, Canva, Squarespace etc.

Want us to build your custom PC?

Remarks

[1] Apple Intelligence is available in beta on all Mac models with M1 and later, with Siri and device language set to Chinese (Simplified), English (Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, UK or US), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil) or Spanish, as a macOS Sequoia update, with more languages coming over the course of the year, including Vietnamese. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages.
[2] 1GB = 1 billion bytes and 1TB = 1 trillion bytes; actual formatted capacity less.
[3] Wi-Fi 6E available in countries and regions where supported.
[4] Weight varies by configuration and manufacturing process.
[5] Acoustics measured from typical operator position sitting in front of a standard Mac mini system. Acoustics may vary by configuration.
[6] iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers and Keynote are available on the Mac App Store. Downloading apps requires an Apple Account and a device that is compatible with the OS version required for each app. iPhone Mirroring is not available in all countries and regions. Some iPhone features (e.g. camera and microphone) are not compatible with iPhone Mirroring.
[7] Data is accurate as of product launch.
[8] Product recycled or renewable content is the mass of certified recycled material relative to the overall mass of the device, not including packaging or in-box accessories.
[9] Manufacturing electricity for Mac mini is sourced from renewable electricity, including a mix of supplier and Apple clean energy projects. Renewable electricity refers to fossil fuel-free sources of energy, like wind, solar and low-impact hydroelectricity projects.
[10] 50 per cent of Mac mini computers by weight are planned, as of product launch, to be shipped via non-air modes of transportation from our final assembly sites to their next destination over the lifetime of the products.
[15] Based on retail packaging as shipped by Apple. Breakdown of US retail packaging by weight. Adhesives, inks and coatings are excluded from our calculations of plastic content and packaging weight.
[16] ENERGY STAR and the ENERGY STAR mark are registered trademarks owned by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
