Fitbit Versa 4 Smart Watch - Waterfall Blue / Platinum

My wife gifted me a Fitbit Versa 4 a while back.
I thought it was a good watch and did most things I needed. GPS tracking, heart rate, messages etc.
Unfortunately, the watch strap pin ripped out of the case. It couldn't be repaired. Not too sure why as I hadn't caught it on anything.
I contacted the supplier as it was out of warranty. They were really good and replaced the whole watch. Good on them.
The new watch did the same thing many months later.

I've since moved on to an iWatch.
A lot pricier and part of the Evil Apple Empire, but a better product.

Have persevered with this device for several weeks but am disappointed by the inaccurate heart rate tracking. It is is very finicky and despite all the recommended steps such as adjusting correct position on wrist during exercise, cleaning etc. It is a pain to get it to read accurately for majority of the time - a little move of the wrist (to be expected when exercising) can change heart rate dramatically. Was not an issue on the smaller charge 6 so I suspect the size and shape are the issue, but at the end of the day I have a normal size wrist and fair skin and nothing that should prevent a mostly accurate reading. Also, fitbit app is hit and miss whether it records things on both the watch and phone app, and the online help is just a series of answers on how to turn off/on and sync - which never fixes the problem. Frustrating to set up the watch in the app on phone, but for those settings to not actually transfer to the device despite syncing and restarts etc. Will look at another brand in future.

I would not recommend. I'm not all that happy with it, the GPS isn't that great (some runs it's all over the show) and there is no way to control your music from your phone. It's a simple feature that has been removed here and replaced with a "YouTube music" app that you can only use if you pay for "YouTube Premium" (another instance of something be degraded for customers to maximise profits for shareholders) - My final thoughts are "I regret not saving up and getting a Garmin" I would not recommend. Very happy with this watch, especially as it syncs with the Mercury app challenges. It's the second one I've owned, my Versa 3 lasted 3.5 years before I drowned it in the bath.
