It fixed an issue using a Dell laptop with 4K external monitor where display was flicking on & off using a USB C to HDMI adapter, not sure why but the single piece cable made the issue go away. It’s a cable. It works. But wow these are expensive!
I don’t know who’s clipping the ticket on this kind of stuff, and I get that you need to have items where you make your margin, but can’t say I’m that excited about it. It’s a cable. It works. But wow these are expensive!

This is now the second one I’ve bought after the first one losing signal and had it replaced. Supposedly, another one of these were returned the same day with the same issues so it seems as though they are faulty. As visible in the image, it’s detected by the laptop and the monitor recognises an external display attempt, but the connection is thwarted by the cable. I connect this cable to my ASUS VG255H monitor against my M1 Macbook.

It connects and then disconnects constantly, and I hate it so much. It is a gamble.

I bought, hoping to get a thinner cable.

But this thing OVER HEATS so much. Many times it gets so hot that my screen jitters and shuts off. What a waste of money. I would invest in a cable which is probably 80$ plus!. I bought, hoping to get a thinner cable.

I live on the road, and bought this cable so that I could connect my laptop to a TV screen while I stayed in Wellington. The first time I tried it, the connection cut out after about 15 minutes. I re-connected, then tried it again, but it cut out after ten minutes. I felt the HDMI end and it was HOT--almost too hot to touch. I tried using it with a fan directly on it, but again, it stayed connected for only a few minutes before it dropped the connection.

They said, no, that shouldn't be an issue at all, and replaced it. But when I tried the new cable, I had the exact same problem. The HDMI end overheated and the cable dropped the connection.

So I thought, okay, it must be an issue with this TV monitor. So I waited until I got to another country and tried it with another monitor. Nope, you guessed it!--the connection lasted a minute at best, and the HDMI end was hot to the touch.

It's too late for me to get a refund, since I'm out of the country. But I wanted to leave this review to warn people about this product. I don't know what's up with the sourcing, but it did not work for me. Very frustrating.
