What I was looking for
I got a new laptop that only uses USB-C and did not want to fork out money for a dock since I don't really use USB-A port products anyway. I needed this cable for my Seagate hard drive and it does the job!
Looks well made and works
I used the cable to connect a USB external drive to a USB C port on an ASUS B550 motherboard. No issues at all.

Saves me the effort of plugging in my dock to the USB A cables of my old hard drives.
I'm absolutely happy to have my MacBook Pro work well with my old portable hard drives at full speed.
As I am not using a dock with wonky cables, I can now backup on Time Machine reliably.
And it means I can can access my hard drive from my phone or tablet directly.
EVERYTHING TYPE-C
Finally 90% of the products I own are usb-c. It's so nice not having to think "what plug does this use, where is that cable" or "ugh I have to get out that super annoying dongle". This cable works great and the price is amazing, no dodgy connection issues, nice and long, no complaints thus far!
