Unfortunately, this cable won't work for the 2 scenarios I wanted.
You cannot use this for an extension for a DisplayPort connection.
It will deliver power from a PC to a device, but you cannot deliver power to the pc. i.e. as an extension from a wall charger to a phone/tablet. Unfortunately, this cable won't work for the 2 scenarios I wanted.

This is the only USB-C extension cable I have been able to find locally that works properly with my USB-C Multifunction Hub. It is a little longer and more expensive than I would have liked but I previously tried a cheaper cable and it did not work at all. The hub itself has a very short connection cable so is difficult to position conveniently on my desk as the USB-C port is on the back of my laptop.
