My Ute refuses to believe there is a phone plugged into this cable. I think it's the little box where it splits. It can't talk to that chip and the Ute just turns the entire cable off and won't use it. Annoying because I wanted to be able to charge anything from the Ute while I'm driving. Bought this to replace Promate 6-in-1 cable which broke after several months use. Unlike the thin plastic strips connecting the Micro-USB and Lightning connectors to the central USB-C one on the Promote, the Unitek has 3 separate braided cords. They should last much longer (I've only used for a few weeks now). And also enables charging multiple devices at once from one plug.
