Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam

This is a great improvement on the C270 that I previously. I have had this camera now for about a month.
Pros: Superb image. Sits on top of a monitor or on a desk/table or on a tripod. Works with every video editing program I have tried, and with Teams, Zoom, Windows 10 Camera, and Skype. Good zoom range. Focus and basic light adjustments available either through Logitech G HUB or Logitech Capture.
Cons: The basic driver installed in Windows 10 is OK but does not allow control of zoom, focus or light. For control you have to either install and configure Logitech G HUB or Logitech Capture. I've been using this camera for the past couple of months almost daily and it gets the job done leagues above integrated laptop webcams and the cheaper budget webcams. If you can afford the extra money however, I recommend going for the Logitech C922, which is only slightly more expensive for a higher quality experience.

As for pros, the video quality is very good in natural and white light, less so with warm lighting, and it's not hard to see why this Logitech model comes so well reviewed.

The picture is nice and sharp and the autofocus works really well. Included software is really easy to use and gives a good range of options around video capture and works well with alternate sound sources. The built in microphone is fine for voice but a bit tinny with capturing other sounds, hence the 4 star review, rather than a 5 star. Overall...highly recommended. Needed a web cam for job interviews and my main computer was running debian 11 linux, so needed a class compliant device that wasn't dependant on any special software. Worked well in Zoom once I sorted out the settings and in Teams for the actual interview. Not much to say other than it didn't let me down and I got the job. The only minor problems I had was when I tried to run the Logitech C920 web cam from an unpowered USB switcher. Plug it in direct to the computer USB, or through a powered hub and you shouldn't have any problems. Works great as a general device - has 1080p 60fps and even 4:3 modes if you need but Microsoft Teams can't access the zoom setting, so gives a "wide" angle. The settings can be adjusted in Windows' settings or the LG Hub software but they don't persist to Teams. Overall would recommend, but do not purchase for work / Teams use. Might be my setup but was expecting more from the premium price.
Has "flicker" lines running down the screen on Zoom calls.
Logitec GHub - App not great or intuitive at all. - Can't adjust the zoom levels or other controls.
Otherwise good.
Worth the money? Can't really compare to much else besides the built-in 720p camera in my laptop.
