Arlo Ultra 2 4K Outdoor Wire-Free Battery Camera - 3 Pack

I bought this camera last year and it worked fine initially. However, once the subscription expired, the performance dropped significantly. The camera frequently disconnects from the internet, making it unreliable for remote monitoring.

Even worse, after inserting a 256GB SD card, it only recorded the footage from the first day and then stopped recording altogether. For a device meant to provide security and peace of mind, this has been very disappointing. I expected better reliability, especially for local storage functionality.

Would not recommend unless you plan to keep paying for the subscription. I bought this camera last year and it worked fine initially. You can’t go wrong with Arlo. Cameras are great. Built in LED lights turns on when intruder detected, 2 way sound, so you can warn intruder etc. you can save images or videos etc.

Bought to replace another one where the battery kept draining and eventually wouldn’t charge. Also the female screw part in the back has come out of both of our other cameras as it’s just glued in. It was easy as to set up the hub and cameras. The clamps for securing the cameras work well. Just ensure there is enough space in the external memory card for local recordings! Most captured video I have viewed cannot be used to identify anyone - so not useful at all.
There is no way on either the App or the online management of the cameras to extend the recording time despite what Arlo claim in the Support pages. Unable to get further support because I don't have the subscription.
Based the dual failures of the camera, and the charger, the expensive subscription and the useless video the system produces I cannot recommend this product.

Ultra2 cameras are great. Connectivity reach and field of view, mounting and solar charging work well.

Great surveillance equipment. Easy set up. Clear images. The spotlight and microphone functions are very handy, as is the siren.

I've had 4k camaras in the past and these are around the same, they are pretty good and they know what things are, I have not had any annoying popups of animals or a moving tree so thats a plus, the downside is if you want 4k than you have to pay just over $200 a year for a subscription otherwise its only 2k video. Apart from that they are easy to setup and mount, battery life is average but can just buy a longer charger cable and keep it on the camara 24/7. Cameras are very clear, there is a bit of a delay to triggering the video for pets. If using for pets where they frequent then the battery does deplete a lot faster but we’ve had the cameras up for 4 weeks and have had to charge that camera 3 times, the others we haven’t had to charge yet.
Only wish you could mute notifications for one camera easily, it’s all or nothing.
