Historically Verbatim products including the CD discs have always been quality precision products and this is still the case. My preferred source for CDs & DVDs. With the decline in popularity of recordable CDs- it has become harder to buy quality discs, with the situation now being next to impossible in New Zealand. For a long time- The Warehouse sold the excellent TDK Gold discs, which ended a few years back. This left me with Verbatim CDRs from the Postshop.

When the Postshop stopped selling Verbatim this year 2019, I bought a Verbatim spindle from PB Tech. I was disappointed to find they were not the same discs as the ones I bought up till then. Verbatim have downgraded/ changed their manufacturer to the same one who makes many of the other cheap n nasty discs available on NZ. The cheapo lightweight almost see through Kodak (not the formerly excellent Kodak Ultima), Melody, and now Verbatim discs have the same manufacturer (they are the same discs but with different branding). This has left me with no choice but to get older higher quality discs from Op Shops, Trademe, and Ebay overseas. But I will not be buying any new Verbatim CDRs- they are ok for casual burning, but dont expect them to handle lots of handling or last.
The next bulk lot of CDRs I will try will be CMC Pro (on Amazon)- using quality JVC/Taiyo Yuden technology.

Excellent value for money, I burn a lot of music for my cd players, they work fine, no writing or burning problems.

In view of the market - where CD's are a dying data storage - they can be priced even better but compared to the opposition they are cheaper.
