After having an Onex GX1 that lasted 2 years and a no-name racer last a 1.5 years, I upgraded to this one. Construction is very solid with an aluminium base and back support -- it is a heavy chair and feels like it will last. The foam seat is comfortable after being a bit stiff for the first few days.

The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the lumbar support is not adjustable and sticks out too much for my liking. I ended up using a strap to pull it back against the back rest support to make it comfortable. It was definitely a risk buying the chair without being able to test it out first, but I'm so glad I did. I work from home and am stationary for at least 8 hours a day. My lower back pain was gone within the first week of using this chair. It's helped improve my quality of sleep, and I no longer wake up in pain. I don't get fatigue after sitting at the computer for long periods of time, either!

My only caution would be the height of the back. I looked for a high back chair so I could relax when gaming or when my neck gets sore. I'm a 5,4 ft woman and it's the perfect height for me, but my Dad tested it out and said the back wasn't high enough for him (He's about 6,1). There's some height adjustment features, but it's not that extensive. As for the arm rests, they aren't the best. They're a little loose, so they slide out of place a bit when you move around. I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker though.

All in all, I'd give a personal rating of 9/10.

I have found this chair to be extremely comfortable for my personal setup, moving over from an old, generic office chair I previously used in my studio.
The design is a (well constructed) plastic base, though I did have an issue where the included screwdriver broke during use, and I had to resort to finding a small adjustable wrench to do all of the final screws, so it took a while!

The tilt angle capabilities are perfect, I think the rise height of the seat is on the shorter side of average, so it's worth confirming the specifications to check that it'll accommodate your height/leg length.

But the fatal drawback is that the seat leans forward in the default, upright setting, so a lot of weight is actually on your legs. If I lift my legs up, I'm basically slipping or falling forward. It makes the chair basically unusable. There is a setting to recline the back, bringing the bottom with it slightly. In that mode, the seat is level, as expected, but the back is too reclined to lean against it. An oversight surely the manufacturers should not have had.

Hi Chad, please make sure the assembly instructions have been followed correctly, especially for attaching the main mechanism to the bottom of the seat. If the seat is leaning forward that would indicate that the mechanism has been bolted back to front.
