After many hours of troubleshooting, I realized I had a cooked CPU and was hesitant about whether replacing the CPU with a similar model or upgrading to AM5 and I am not disappointed. I've had anywhere between 10-20 FPS boost since I upgraded to this from only a 5600 at 1440p and my temps are slightly better . I just love AMD and the stores person was just a great help, I knew exactly what I was looking for and they made it a breeze, in and out the shop within 2 minutes. I picked this up after my 5800x kicked the bucked. I'm down 33% on threads, with functionally the same single threaded performance. My system is more or less as snappy as ever. Part of a new Build replacing something I built 7 years ago.
Used an after market cooler instead of the original one.
So so much faster that the 7 year old machine and it does not heat the room like the last one!
