Hi friends,
I looked at these desks for a long time before I decided to buy one,
mainly because I didn't actually believe it did what it did,
in fact I had never seen or heard of them before.

I couldn't understand why they called them Standing Desks, talk about slow ;)

I went with the 1800mm x 800mm which is 6 foot long in the old language,
and that's a good size desk.

I have a 50" 4k Samsung Q90A QLED TV for my computer screen in front of me,
with a Full Width Q900A with a Surround 7.1.1 Soundbar in front, at the base of the screen,
and the Sub Woofer under the desk, right side.

and that's a good size desk.

I have a 50" 4k Samsung Q90A QLED TV for my computer screen in front of me,
with a Full Width Q900A with a Surround 7.1.1 Soundbar in front, at the base of the screen,
and the Sub Woofer under the desk, right side.

Down the end of the Desk, to my left, is a 24" Huion 4k Kamvas Tablet on a Loctek Monitor Arm
and there is still plenty of room for keyboard, mouse and lots of space in between, so for myself,
this was the perfect size desk.

I also bought at the same time, one of those small Clamp On Shelves, 600mm long, 200mm wide and it sits
about 150mm high off the Desk and that fits perfectly from the End of the 50" Screen, to the end of the Desk
and that has my Lamp and Modem on it.

The Desk Legs are really solid, Steel Tube, 65mm x 65mm x 3mm with telescopic internal tubing for the extensions
as the desk rises and falls. The feet are 100mm wide and once this desk was made up, it does not rock at all,
because I thought it would, but it is stable and rock solid.
The table top is the wood coloured 25mm and that is also a good thickness.

One thing I did change was the Switch Control for activating the Motor, as you can see in the photo, it fits under the desk flush with the front face,
on the right hand side, i unscrewed it, and just moved it another ~50-75mm further towards the back, away from me, still under the desk,
but so my Chair Arms could not bang in to it again, and didn't want to have to have that repaired.

The Two Motors are very good quality motors, move in small increments, the switch control panel is excellent, very accurate
and you can move the desk up and down in small measurements which is great because my computer sits under the left end of the desk.
It is so nice to be able to raise the desk when you have to go to yr computer, or the back of it, and you can raise the desk, it makes it so much easier.

It took me about an hour or so to put it all together, and I laid the table top on the carpet, face down and built it upwards, and got a friend
to help me pick it up, and put it in to place.

I am 100% happy with it and would have no hesitation in recommending one to anyone who needs a desk, and now I've had it for a while,
I would not go back to my old fashioned solid desk, draws and sides stuck in place.

I bought a draw for it, or I thought i did but it never arrived, probably my bad, but I don't miss the draw, now that i have the shelf
and I am now officially converted.

Firstly regarding the desk. I am 6ft tall and being a two stage vs the 3 stage we already own it definitely is borderline for my seated position. If you are less than 6ft tall I would recommend going for the 3 stage legs as the legs probably won’t go low enough for you to be ergonomically sound without using a footrest (won’t be able to have feet flat on the floor). Functionally the desk is fine but vs the 3 stage we bought previously there is no cable channel included and their solution is plastic ties you screw into the bottom of the desk, less flexible and not quite as tidy. Given the price difference though not a problem.

The real negatives came more from the purchase and delivery process than the desk itself. When purchasing the desk there was a note that it ‘ships today’ which you would assume would mean the courier picks it up same day, however in reality it was just ready at the warehouse and the logistics provider didn’t pick it up till the following business day afternoon. It was 3 or 4 days to ship. The logistics provider dropped the package off and I had my hands full at the time so didn’t check the boxes. It turned out later I was called and they had dropped off the wrong order, delivering my actual desk to another customer. This is where I am unsure if the damage to the top of the desk was from the other person that opened the boxes, the logistics provider repackaging the desk or if it was damaged during packaging from the factory.

Basically I put the desk together and the bottom of the desk surface was immaculate but once the legs were on and the desk was flipped there was a piece of trim with glue all over it sitting against the top surface of the desk that had no business being there , this has damaged the top of the desk and despite cleaning with various products I was not able to remove it entirely and there were also a number of scuffs.

So presuming you get the desk you ordered and don’t have any issues with the logistics it’s a solid desk for the $$.

Not too hard to assemble - issued with a short adapter cable - which wouldn't fit the larger 1800mm desk - but we have managed to change positioning so it will fit.

Instructions legible and relatively easy to assemble. Looks great in it's space. Smooth mechanism - takes about 10-15 seconds to go from sitting to standing height. I recently purchased the Loctek Ergonomic Pro Office Desk and I’m really impressed with the quality. The desk feels very solid and stable, even when adjusting the height. The motor runs smoothly and the movement is quiet.
The build quality is excellent and it feels sturdy once assembled. It’s been a great addition to my workspace.
If you can grab it on special or during one of PB Tech’s deals, it’s definitely worth it. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommended! Really sturdy desk that's both stable and able to accommodate double screens, plus other accessories (1400mm x 700mm). it's certainly built to hold a great deal of weight without being wobbly, with the dual motors working flawlessly. The only minor issue noted was that 4x pre-drilled holes are missing from the underside of the desk top that's required to fix the centre section of the frame, plus no pre-drilled holes for mounting the control box in either of the two optional mounting positions. The black frame and honey coloured top goes perfectly with the rest of the office furniture. Very pleased with the purchase. SH

I have this to replace my desk which i bought from target years ago (which also happened to move a lot) this desk is very stable and with 2 monitor mounted on and all the accessories on it it is still very spacious. The motor is very quiet and also powerful ! I'm 6'1 and this is perfect for my standing height. Wouldn't want to much taller though.
